聚合氯化鋁 （polyaluminium chloride，縮寫PAC；Aluminium chlorohydrate），簡稱聚鋁。 它是一種介於AlCl 3 和Al (OH) 3 之間的化合物。 分子式 [Al 2 (OH) n Cl 6-n · x H 2 O] m (m≤10，n=1～5)，是新型 無機 高分子化合物 絮凝劑。 純品為黃色或灰色片狀、粒狀或粉末狀固體。 易溶於水，水溶液發生 水解，並伴有凝聚、吸附和沉澱等過程。 不可燃，具刺激性。 對黏膜、眼部和皮膚等組織有腐蝕性。 對環境有危害。 避免與水、潮濕空氣、 鹼 類、 醇 類和可燃物接觸。 於陰涼、乾燥、通風處密封儲存。 遠離火種、熱源。 工作人員應佩戴自吸過濾式防塵口罩和防護眼鏡，穿著橡膠防酸鹼服，戴橡膠耐酸鹼手套。

絮凝體形成快、沉降速度快，比硫酸鋁等傳統產品處理能力大。 消耗水中鹼度低於各種無機絮凝劑，因而可不投或少投鹼劑。 適應的源水PH5.0-9.0範圍均可凝聚。 腐蝕性小，操作條件好。 溶解性優於硫酸鋁。 處理水中鹽分增加少，有利於離子交換處理和高純制水。 對源水溫度的適應性優於硫酸鋁等無機絮凝劑。 在低濁度水中，將固體的聚合氯化鋁產品按照1：3比例 (重量比)加自來水稀釋，並且攪拌至完全溶解。 在生活、生產用污水中，參照每噸污水先投加30g左右的聚合氯化鋁產品。 然後投加稀釋之後的聚丙烯酰胺產品。 (如果效果不明顯，請酌情減少或增加產品投加量) 在造紙廠污水處理中，採用低濁度水的投放比例配置，如效果不明顯可在酌量添加。
